Grady Thomas Branagh was born into this world January 28, 2010 at 2:41 am. He was 8lbs. 4oz. and 21 inches long. And we must say, beautiful! What a miracle birth is...words really cannot express how truly amazing the whole process is! We were so blessed to have had a fairly "normal" (what's normal, anyway?!?!) labor experience and had most of our family here, which we weren't really expecting to actually work out! Of course John's parents were here, Meg's mom and sister both made it in time, Nicole flew in, and Meg's dad and stepmom drove up from LA. They all sat in the hospital lobby for about 10 hours waiting to meet Grady! Denise and Garrett made a special trip the week we came home to meet him as well.
Life after birth so far is going pretty well...I think all three of us are a little tired, but we are having fun. It is so crazy that this baby that we have been preparing for over the last nine months is finally here; he is a real person, with a face and a name. It has been so fun the last 3 weeks getting to know him!
Things that Grady likes and does well: eating, pooping, tooting, eating, Belle, Bunny, headrubs, stroller rides, car rides, eating, bathtime, Jack Johnson, cuddling, tummy time, and last but not least being held.
Things that Grady is working on: getting a diaper change, falling asleep, taking naps in his bassinet, laying anywhere besides someone's arms, gas, and did I mention getting his daper changed!!!

A trip to San Francisco! It was a beautiful day and we needed to get out of the house. We spent the afternoon walking around the Ferry Building and on the Pier. That is Grady in the pouch on John's chest...he slept the whole time!
Bath time!!! Once Grady's body hits the water, every muscle totally relaxes! He closes his eyes and dozes off while I wash his little body. He loves it!
