January was a month of "first"s...not that most everything in Grady's life isn't a "first" right now, but it was a month of big "firsts"...he met a cousin for the first time, brushed his teeth for the first time, started walking, rode the steam train for the first time, petted a cow for the first time, and turned 1 (birthday pics coming in another post)!!!
Meeting Marc
Early in the month, we had a "Lascurettes Cousins" dinner with the Engberg kids. It had been months since Renee and Kate had seen Grady, and Marc had never met him or Malin! So we had a ton of fun making pizzas and catching up.
The first brushing of the teeth!
Unfortunately, that's not exactly how it goes now...it's not quite this easy. He really wants to do it himself, which is understandable. So, in order to actually make sure that his teeth are getting brushed, we use two tooth brushes...he gets to hold one and kinda brush his teeth and Mommy or Daddy's, and we get to hold the other brush and sneak it in his mouth for a quick scrub while he is distracted brushing our teeth! He sits up on the counter next to the sink and we sit on a stool in front of him. Two months later, he is now getting the hang of it a little better and will wipe off his mouth when he is finished. Pretty cute.
The Steam Trains!
Grady rode his very first steam train! He was pretty much in awe the whole time...didn't really know what to do with himself!

Man on the Move!
Here's a video catching some of Grady's early walking...pretty good! He wanted to have it mastered for his BIG Birthday Party!
Just a cute video of Grady copying me stretching!
Birthday pics coming soon...
