July 4th--very fun day with lots of family, lots of good food, and a traditional game of volleyball!

July 4th--John's grandmother, Nat, and Grady. Nat can always make Grady smile (usually with sweet animal noises!). John and Nat have a oddly similar picture, taken about 28 years ago, with John in a red shirt looking up at Nat just smiling away, just like Grady! Pretty special.

asleep at the end of the party...

Grady loved swimming this summer! Can't wait to do swim lessons with him!

One of my favorite pictures! Grady went through this phase for a few months where he crossed his legs all the time. I happened to get him at the perfect moment...just relaxing and reading a book!

Mr. Preppy boy! So handsome with his flipped up collar!

A photo of the family on the front patio of our first home in California. "La Corso" will always hold a special place in our hearts--it is the house that we brought our baby boy home to!
We took our first big trip to Tulsa and Texas in the middle of July. We spent 10 days hanging out with family and friends...it was wonderful! Grady overall did great. He is such a trooper and quite the traveler, considering he is only 8 months now! He loves his YaYa and Auntie Sissy!

Grady with some of his Texas buds! John Reid Trigger, Benjamin Trigger, and Trip Kuper. It was so special for Grady to meet some of our friends and their kids who are so dear to us...we miss ya'll like crazy!

We topped off the month with John's cousin's wedding. It was beautiful celebration of Kathleen and Alex's marriage! We had a blast dancing the night away!
